Lin Qilei is a human rights lawyer in China. He represents those whom the Chinese state fears: Democracy activist, religious practitioners or human rights activists.

Respect : A great short docu-film from you, Mr. Missal, about the brave people there like lawyer Lin Qilei, who can only be admired, how he fights against stupidity and for the basic human rights. The Chinese government still does not understand that this much-needed (ultimately, hopefully finally laid down in Chinese legislation) basic rights directly benefits them and minimizes the widespread dissatisfaction of the Chinese with their own legal system. The belief in a functioning law is the basis for the loyal citizen.
All the best for your projects and kindly regards : Stefan
Thanks for doing this film.
Thank you,
Thomas
Ich schliesse mich der Mainung von User Thomas an.
Herr Missal: Ich wünsche mir, dass sie diesen – ihren – Weg weitergehen. Es werden zukünftig noch viel mehr kritische Journalisten benötigt.
DANKE!!!!
Hans
Taking a masters program on journalism in Beijing. Is some kind of irony?
I’m from Hong Kong and I’m soooo happy to read on the news about what you’ve done! Great job! The world needs to know more about how this dictatorship is destroying the society, instead of just hearing about economic development in the country. Keep it up! (and maybe get prepared for those “nationalistic” Chinese people who might rush to your blog to comment later…but you definitely have 100% support from many people in Hong Kong!).
You can consider studying in Hong Kong! We have great universities which are very liberal and international at the same time. You won’t get ausgewiesen for writing about those things. I believe many professors would be interested in your thesis topic 🙂
great job! thank you for your documentary film.
